John J. Brennan

Father John J. Brennan, SJ, died peacefully Monday, February 11, 2008 in Regis Infirmary at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center, Los Gatos, California. He was 93 years old. Born in San Francisco, California, on December 10, 1914, John entered the Society of Jesus at Sacred Heart Novitiate in Los Gatos on July 30, 1934. He pronounced final vows on December 3, 1979, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hollywood, California. May he rest in peace.

All members of the California Province and those applied to it are to offer or celebrate one first intention Mass and members of the Jesuit Community at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center and those attached to it but living elsewhere (cf. 2008 Catalogus USA, pgs. 37-38) are to offer or celebrate one additional first intention Mass for the repose of John’s soul.
