Father Donald J. Duggan, S.J., died Monday, September 27, in Regis Infirmary at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center in Los Gatos, California, after a long illness. He was 86 years old. Born in San Francisco, California, on May 12, 1924, Don entered the Society of Jesus at Sacred Heart Novitiate in Los Gatos on August 14, 1942. He pronounced final vows on March 25, 1977, at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California. May he rest in peace!
All members of the California Province and those applied to it are to offer or celebrate one first intention Mass and members of the Jesuit Community at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center and those attached to it but living elsewhere (cf. 2010 Catalogus USA, pgs. 36-39) are to offer or celebrate one additional first intention Mass for the repose of Don’s soul.
