L.A. Board of Supervisors Honors Loyola High School on its Sesquicentennial
On August 4th, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors presented Fr. Gregory Goethals, SJ, ’73, with a commemorative scroll honoring Loyola High School, its sesquicentennial, and its contribution to Los Angeles. Faculty, administration, and alumni came out in force to join in the celebration. January 22 will mark 45 years since the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision made abortion legal in the United States, and today the Society of Jesus in the U.S. is asking Jesuits and their collaborators to continue to stand in solidarity with the unborn and with mothers in difficult situations.
