Carl, 28, earned a bachelor’s in philosophy and theology/religious studies from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania, where he played tennis, and a master’s in student affairs in higher education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He worked at Xavier University in Cincinnati as a hall director, academic adviser and campus minister, coordinating retreats for students. Carl enjoys cheering on his favorite sports teams, watching thought–provoking films and shooting free throws. (Midwest Province)
