What We Do
Parishes

Blessed Sacrament, Hollywood, Calif.

Blessed Sacrament Parish is a wonderfully diverse community located in the middle of historic Hollywood. Our ministry, which began in 1904, is focused both to enrich our community of faith and to improve the quality of life of those that live in Hollywood. We dedicate ourselves to a rich liturgical tradition in which the sacramental life of the Roman Catholic Church is made vibrant and alive. Our religious education program seeks to prepare children and adults to fully participate in this sacramental life. In addition, our elementary school (kindergarten through eighth grade), places emphasis on both the academic and the spiritual development of our students.

We are also committed to the larger community of Hollywood. Our social service program seeks to serve the very poor of our community. Moreover, we seek to empower those who struggle to make their home in our community through our involvement with the Hollywood Interfaith Sponsoring Committee, a community organization in the PICO network.

Dolores Mission, Los Angeles, Calif.

Dolores Mission Church and School are a beacon of hope in the Boyle Heights community in which it serves. By providing vital services to a community that does so much with so little, Dolores Mission parishioners, students and its community at large work together to provide safety, support, quality education and hope.

By working together to develop talents and give God greater glory, in the Jesuit tradition, the Dolores Mission Church and School community flourishes.

Walking with Christ who suffers, dies, and rises with our people, Dolores Mission, a Jesuit Parish, responds to the spiritual, educational, physical, and emotional needs of our community. By listening to our needs, particularly through the Christian base communities and through grassroots organizing, we partner with outside agencies to allow Christ’s healing and transformation and to raise consciousness about larger issues of justice and peace.

St. Ignatius Parish is a strong community of families, single professionals, empty nesters, retirees, Catholics, and others who aspire to do great things for God and others. We come from all over The City and beyond to grow together in faith, love, and service. We are honored to host interfaith events. That is the more (magis) to which our patron, St. Ignatius of Loyola, invited his followers. Grateful for our lives, we pledge to do all for God’s greater honor and glory (AMDG).  And we wish to do so through Christ, whom we discover as love in all of creation (Mt. 11:25-27). There are so many ways to get involved and become a part of our community. We hope you join us!
