Requiscat In Pace: Thomas J. Maloney, S.J.

Father Thomas J. Maloney, S.J., died Saturday, August 11, 2007, at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, California.  He was 71 years old.  Born in Los Angeles, California, on August 2, 1936, Tom entered the Society of Jesus at Sacred Heart Novitiate, Los Gatos, on August 14, 1958.  He pronounced final vows on April 19, 1981, at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California.  May he rest in peace.

All members of the California Province and those applied to it are to offer or celebrate one first intention Mass and members of the Jesuit Community at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center and those attached to it but living elsewhere (cf. 2007 Catalogus USA, pg. 38) are to offer or celebrate one additional first intention Mass for the repose of Tom’s soul.

May 19, 2020 — For 14 years, Fr. Tim Meier, SJ, served as a chaplain with the U.S. Army.

May 15, 2020 — It didn’t take Manoj Thirupal long to become one of the fellas in the Della Strada Jesuit Community.

May 11, 2020 — Jesuit apostolates released a letter to the governor calling for a relief fund for undocumented immigrants.

May 8, 2020 — Fr. Llywelyn, who currently serves at Santa Clara University, will begin his new role in July.
