Requiscat In Pace: Edmund Wallace Ryan, S.J.

Brother Edmund Wallace Ryan, S.J., died Thursday, September 30, in Regis Infirmary at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center in Los Gatos, California, after a long decline. He was 83 years old. Born in Sioux City, Iowa, on June 4, 1927, Wally began his postulancy at Sacred Heart Novitiate on May 30, 1951, and became a novice on December 1. He pronounced final vows at Bellarmine on February 2, 1962. May he rest in peace!

All members of the California Province and those applied to it are to offer or celebrate one first intention Mass and members of the Jesuit Community at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center and those attached to it but living elsewhere (cf. 2010 Catalogus USA, pgs. 36-39) are to offer or celebrate one additional first intention Mass for the repose of Wally’s soul.
