Requiscat In Pace: Edward E. Callanan, S.J.

Rev. Edward E. Callanan, S.J., died Wednesday, June 10, at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center in Los Gatos, California. He was 81 years old. Born in Los Angeles, California, on January 25, 1928, Ed entered the Society of Jesus at Sacred Heart Novitiate in Los Gatos on September 7, 1945. He pronounced final vows on February 2, 1977, at Jesuit High School in Sacramento, California. May he rest in peace.

All members of the California Province and those applied to it are to offer or celebrate one first intention Mass and members of the Jesuit Community at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center and those attached to it but living elsewhere (cf. 2009 Catalogus USA, pgs. 37-40) are to offer or celebrate one additional first intention Mass for the repose of Ed’s soul.
