In Memoriam
Requiscat In Pace: Donald F. Kolda, S.J.

Fr. Donald F. Kolda, S.J., died in Laguna Beach, California, on Holy Saturday, April 11, after a long and painful struggle with esophageal cancer. He was 88 years old. Born in Alhambra on June 9, 1924, Don entered the Society of Jesus at Sacred Heart Novitiate in Los Gatos, California, on December 31, 1942, and pronounced his final vows at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in San Diego, California, on August 15, 1958. May he rest in peace.

All members of the California Province and those applied to it are to offer or celebrate one first intention Mass, and members of the Manresa Residence Jesuit Community and those attached to it but living elsewhere (cf. 2009 Catalogus USA, pgs. 28-29) are to offer or celebrate one additional first intention Mass for the repose of Don’s soul.
